2008 Collie National Specialty
Wow! Green Grove Collies were busy at the 2008 Collie Club of America's National Specialty Show. Julie, accompanied by Margo and Tonya, along with 6 collies headed to the show in LaCrosse, WI. There they joined Julie Fait and Willow, and Mike Hermann with Lad and Jenna to represent Green Grove Collies. It was a wonderful week!

Herding:
Julie Fait with CH Green Grove's Wind in the Willows earned their PT title.

Agility:
Julie and Willow qualified in Open Jumpers with Weaves both days and in Excellent Standard on Wednesday.

Julie Cramer and CH Aspen's Bonny Lass O Green Grove qualified in Novice Preferred Jumpers with Weaves on Wednesday.

Tonya Long with Aspen's Silver Storm and Margo Schouten with Green Grove's Alberta Clipper also ran agility.

Rally:
Mike Hermann qualified with Lad and Jenna at both the Advanced and Excellent levels of Rally.

Julie and Willow qualified in Excellent B.
Julie and Bonny qualified in Advanced
and Margo and Sylvie qualified both days in Novice B.

Conformation:
Aspen's Jim Beam made the cut out of 6-9 mo smooth puppy dogs, and Bonny with Willow and Faith competed in the Smooth Brood Bitch class. Each of these champions also made appearances in the Best of Variety competition, and looked BEAUTIFUL!

Versatility:
Julie Fait's CH Green Wind in the Willows earned her Versatility Excellent title from CCofA.
Willow and Bonny both qualified in the "Most Versatile Collie" at this year's events.

We are VERY proud of each of these dogs and handlers - thanks for representing Green Grove Colies so very well!

New Puppies are here!
On Sunday, August 19, Bonny (aka Ch Aspen's Bonny Lass o Green Grove)began to have her puppies. She finished whelping at 7:30 am on Monday, August 20. We have 7 healthy puppies - 6 boys and 1 girl! Mom and puppies are doing well and owners, Bob and Julie Cramer are VERY excited.

THE STORK HAS ARRIVED!!!
Green Grove's Spellbound In Black, Hazel, is the proud momma of 6 bouncing bundles of joy. Hazel is a tri-colored rough collie co-owned by Judy Friederichs and Julie Cramer. The puppies were born October 2nd. There are four boys and two girls.

MULTI-LEVEL PERFORMANCE DOG 2006
Blackstone's Gallant Spirit, better known as Ivo won top awards at the Bouvier des Flandres National Specialty Show in Frederick, MD. Julie Cramer has worked very hard and has trained Ivo in a large number of performance events. At this show, Ivo qualified in Herding, Agility (taking two first places and two high in trials), Rally-O, and Carting.

NEW MACH TITLE
Brian Wiegand and his ACD, Emmy, successfully completed their MACH agility title in Illinois earlier this month. Brian has worked Emmy in agility for 3 years and has eagerly anticipated this championship. They are already well on their way for a MACH 2. Way to go guys!

New AKC Champion
Today our boy, Will, was Best of Winners to become CH Allure's Summer Persuasion with a 4-point major at the Rapid City SD KC All Breed Show. He is the fourth puppy from his litter to finish. There was an entry of 23 Afghans each day of this three-day series.

Will was handled (from first point to last) by Amy Batzner. The judge was Mr. Mark Houston-McMillan.

Green Grove Collie becomes UKC Grand Champion
Julie Fait and Julie Cramer's blue rough collie girl "Willow" went to two UKC shows on October 14th and took Best Of Breed both shows and finished her Grand Champion with a Group Four. She is now GRCH Green Grove Wind In The Willows CD, RE, OAP, NJP, HT, VCH. Thank you to Julie Cramer for this talented, beautiful, wonderful Collie girl and your never ending support.

Rally title earned and another started
Mike Hermann took his Collies Lad and Jenna to the Burlington Kennel Club dog show on July 30th and did great! Lad earned his RE (Rally Excellent) title with a score of 77 and also placed 3rd. Jenna earned her first leg toward her RA (Rally Advanced) title with a score of 82. Mike trains at Green Grove and is part of the Alumni Class with his Collies. Well done and congratulations!

Patience And Understanding Lead To Success
Under the skilled hands and watchful eye of Julie Cramer of Green Grove Kennel Green Grove Second Spring (Autumn) an Australian Shepherd owned by Julie Fait of Menomonee Falls went from being dog-aggressive and unshowable to an outstanding performer in the obedience ring, winning her RN (Rally Novice) title at the Waukesha/Burlington Kennel club shows the weekend of July 29th-30th with scores of 96 (fourth place), 95, and 94. Thanks to the training at Green Grove, Autumn has been a constant and reliable competitor. No longer distracted by the dogs around her, she concentrates on the job at hand and gets it done.

Green Grove client gets major
Allure's Summer Persuasion (Will) received his first major (4 points) by going Winner's Dog at the Waukesha Kennel Club show on July 29th. He also earned Best Of Breed for one point and Winner's Dog for one point at the Burlington Kennel Club Dog Shows on July 30th and 31st. He made his mom proud and even brought gifts home for her. Congratulations!!

WD, BOS, BOB at Kishwaukee KC AKC Show, Elkhorn, IL for Will
Allure's Summer Persuasion (Will) earned two points at the Kishwaukee Kennel Club AKC sanctioned shows in Elkhorn, Illinois on July 15 and 16th by going Winner's Dog, and BOS (Best of Opposite Sex) in the breed on Saturday and Best of Breed on Sunday. Will is an Afghan Hound owned by Connie Schachel of Sheboygan and handled by Amy Batzner of Plymouth.

Will is a regular in Rally classes at Green Grove.

Green Grove Collie wins Best Of Breed
UCH Green Grove Wind In the Willows "Willow" went to the UKC Premier in Kalamazoo, MI on June 16th and went Best Of Breed. Willow is bred by Julie Cramer and owned by Julie Fait and Julie Cramer. Willow's Sire is AKC Champion Palary's Black Denim and her Dam is UKC/AKC Champion Aspen's Bonny Lass O Green Grove RN.

Green Grove Collie gets agility title
Julie Fait and Julie Cramer's Rough Blue Merle Collie "Willow" received her Open Agility Preferred (OAP) title at the Camp Bandy trial on July 1st. Willow also had a clean run and got first place.

Green Grove Instructor Grabs Titles
Liz Nitsch's Collies, Merlin and Sparkle, received their AG-I and AG-II titles in an awesome performance at the UKC agility trials in May.

The weekend of June 3rd and 4th were great for Merlin and Sparkle too; they both received their UKC Championships! Merlin also took the first step towards his Grand Champion designation (five wins needed) and Sparkle took Best Of Breed and a Herding Group One in conformation competition. Sparkle has now earned enough points to complete her American Working Collie Versatility Championship title.

Green Grove client wins Best of Breed
Allure's Summer Persuasion, a black-masked red Afghan Hound known around Green Grove Kennel as Will, recently went Best of Breed at the AKC Winnegamie Dog Club Show in Oshkosh. Will's sire is BIS AM & CAN CH Stormhill's Silver Star and his dam is DC Allure's Double Red Hot Summer, SC.

Will completed (and earned) his CGC training at Greeen Grove and is a regular in the Rally Obdience classes.

He is shown with judge, June Penta (left) and his proud owner, Connie Schachel of Sheboygan.
